Some suburbs are quiet on the flower front. These two? Never.

Between the towering glass offices of the CBD and the creative warehouse pockets of Alexandria, we’ve seen it all – bulk orders, bunny suits, and 50–100 bespoke bunches for a single product launch. These are suburbs where the pace is fast, the gestures are thoughtful, and flowers show up at farewell lunches, event tables, and front desks all week long.

Week after week, we’re delivering same-day blooms to farewell coworkers, celebrate team wins, and lift midweek moods. It’s heartfelt, high-volume, and full of personality.

The Daily Mixed Bouquet is a favourite for these senders – simple, beautiful, and easy to send, even if you’re juggling spreadsheets or packing stock.

CBD: Tower Blocks, Team Tags & Flowers With a Deadline

Sydney’s CBD keeps us busy – especially on Thursdays and Fridays. It’s when the flowers really fly. Maybe there’s something in the watercooler, but come late week, teams seem especially ready to celebrate a win, farewell a favourite, or simply say: “We see you.”

In those glass towers, flowers sometimes arrive in bulk – ten or fifteen bunches for a team that’s been crushing it all week, all tagged with individual names and notes like:
“Team legend status: unlocked”
“You absolutely nailed it.”

They land at concierge desks, loading docks, reception counters – sometimes with special instructions to arrive just before a final team meeting. The stakes can be high. We’ve squeezed into service lifts, chased down contact names, and timed arrivals to the minute.

And if you’re wondering how we pull it off – the answer is bikes. Our couriers don’t sit in traffic or circle the block looking for parking. They know the back entrances, the freight lifts, the receptionists by name. And yes, they’re low-key competitive about how many flowers they can deliver on any given afternoon. We call them our delivery wizards..

Not every order is a group gesture. Some of our favourites are the quiet ones: a Sunflower or mixed bunch with a note that says, “We’d be lost without you,” or “Hope today’s better than yesterday.”

And then there’s the Friday self-gifters. You know who you are – the spreadsheet slayers and execs wrapping up a big week. Sometimes it’s a large bunch sent to the office, sometimes it’s marked with nothing but a name. Either way, we love the quiet confidence of sending yourself flowers “just because” – especially when the ‘because’ is: “I deserve a little treat for the weekend.”

For many of our CBD customers, flowers are a lovely way to say something an email can’t quite say. Our little Daily Mixed Bouquet is a favourite for this reason – it’s enough of a gesture to really acknowledge someone, or give them a bit of a boost, but without being over the top (or tricky to get home from work). And, with same-day delivery across the city, we love that we can deliver those thoughtful gestures quick and fast, when they’re most needed.

Alexandria: Creative Quirks & the Bunny Brigade

If the CBD is sleek and scheduled, Alexandria is its cooler, weirder cousin. Warehouses, studios, pop-up offices – this suburb hums with creative energy, and the flower orders reflect that.

We’ve delivered bunches to fashion HQs, prop stylists, brand teams, and production crews. There’s always a high energy, fun, creative vibe. We’ve seen flowers gifted for Friday wrap-ups, product shoots, internal milestones, and post-launch cooldowns. One memorable order came through for 50 peony bunches – all going to a single address on a rainy Monday morning. It was a campaign launch. We remember it because one of our team hand-tied QR codes to each tag, leading to a video reveal. Thoughtful. On-brand. And those Peonies had a big wow factor!

Then there’s the bunny brigade.

For reasons we still don’t fully understand, Alexandria has the highest number of Easter bunny delivery requests of anywhere in Sydney (we need to do another post on this alone)- two separate years, multiple senders. One job involved six bunches, a camera crew, and a very warm bunny suit. Our courier was a good sport. So was the warehouse crew.

Gifting in Alexandria tends to be a little less formal, a little more unexpected. One of our favourite moments? A woman who sent a bunch to herself – just to make her office crush jealous.

The Little Flowers statistics team have also confirmed that there is definitely a work hard, play hard culture in this suburb. Why? Our highest number of Little Vases deliveries go to Alexandria. Let’s just say they’re not scared of a team lunch and a cocktail party. It’s not unusual for us to get a note asking if we can colour-match the flowers to a theme or occasion, or supply before lunchtime (Yes, we can – check out our Little Vases page for more info.)

Like the CBD, we see lots of bulk orders and “corporate” flower requests from Alexandria. Not just for team thank yous (which we love!), but for product launches brand promotions and retail spaces. Sometimes it’s a delivery to one address, sometimes we need to deliver flowers all across Sydney. We enjoy the challenge of meeting a brief – perhaps working with a specific flower or bespoke colour palette, using branded wrapping paper, or creating a special gift pack to go with the flowers. We have over a decade of experience fulfilling orders of 50-100 bunches for corporate clients and meeting fun and unusual requests – from fashion brands like H&M and Sir the label, to beauty brands like Benefit and Herbal Essences. We’ve even worked with the Botanic Gardens.

There’s something about Alexandria. The mix of creative chaos, small gestures, and big-hearted senders means we’re often packing orders that feel more like inside jokes or tiny celebrations than formal gifts. Lots of these bunches don’t shout – they quietly say, “You mattered today.” And that, more than anything, is what the Daily Mixed Bouquet was made for.

Thank You for Keeping the Flowers Flowing

What we love most about Alexandria and the CBD isn’t just the volume – though yes, you definitely keep us busy. It’s the way flowers show up as tiny acts of care. Whether it’s 20 bunches sent after a big pitch, or a Friday delivery with nothing but a name on the tag, the intention behind every order is what sticks with us.

There’s a kind of workplace kindness that really flourishes in these suburbs. It’s not about grand gestures. It’s the quiet thoughtfulness – the “thanks for your help,” the “you smashed it,” the “we made it to the end of the week.”

We’ve delivered flowers into foyers, freight lifts, fire stairs, and farewell lunches. We’ve seen them lined up in meeting rooms, dotted across shared desks, and tucked into tote bags for the trip home. And the fact that it happens not just once in a while, but week after week? That’s something special.

So thank you. To the team leads, assistants, managers, and behind-the-scenes magic-makers who keep Alexandria and the CBD blooming – we’re glad to be on the ride with you.

If you ever need a little bunch to say a lot, the Daily Mixed Bouquet is ready when you are. Or explore our Gift Packs for something extra. And if you’re new here, our same-day delivery info page is a good place to start. For corporate orders – including bespoke colour schemes or wrapping, just send us an email here.
