SAME DAY FLOWER DELIVERY IN SYDNEY.

19 December 2022

Donate a bunch of Little Flowers to Meals on Wheels this Christmas

At Little Flowers, we’re always looking for new ways to bring a bit of joy and beauty into the world with our blooms.

It’s one of the things we love most about our job. We pride ourselves in delivering smiles along with our flowers. So we’re really excited to be partnering with Meals on Wheels this Christmas to deliver a little bit of cheer to older Australians across Sydney who may be feeling isolated.

The best bit? We get to do it with you.

We’re offering our customers the chance to purchase a Little Flowers bunch for a Meals on Wheels recipient. And for every bouquet purchased, we’ll double the love, so two bunches will be donated to the charity.

In case you’re not familiar with them, Meals on Wheels is an amazing organisation that delivers food to Seniors who live at home but are unable to cook for themselves. It’s a vital service that provides not only meals, but social connection, something we’ve all learnt a lot about over the last few years with Covid and lockdowns. We’ve been told that for many of the recipients, the volunteer delivering food is the only person they see all day, sometimes all week. And, for lots of these older adults, the smiley face and friendly conversation is actually more important than the meal itself.

We love the idea of arming these amazing volunteers with boxes of Little Flowers, with your help, to gift to Seniors when their food is being delivered.

There’s always something lovely about sending a bouquet. You get to enjoy that little feeling you get, knowing someone is experiencing florally goodness and it’s all because of you. Imagine that feeling, but sending to a random stranger who you’ve never met before. Someone who may not be able to get out of the house very often. Someone who may not get to be in nature on a regular basis. Someone who probably spends a lot of time on their own. The emotional rewards of being audacious enough to do that are even bigger and better than when you’re sending flowers to someone you know.

.

You can either buy a bunch to treat a Meals on Wheels client yourself, or purchase as a Christmas gift for a friend or family member. Everyone who orders will be sent an e-certificate to acknowledge their purchase and participation, and we will do our best to keep you posted via email and / or social media (respecting the privacy, of course, of the recipients).

Would you like to make the world a better place with us? We’d love you to get involved. Orders are open until 24th December, and flowers will be delivered across Sydney into the new year. Meals on Wheels are poised with extra big vans and are pumped up to get gifting with us!
